Fun event, lots of good food, the space is bigger this year. My favourite vendors were mad Mexican, el trompo and pancho bakery

We spent $50 both of us to get in, $60 for food tickets and $18 to park and yet we each only had 3 tacos, quality of meat is bad with fat more than meat and no space to sit. Left hungry with no money. I could’ve treated my husband to a nice high end meal for Father’s Day. Never coming back.

I recently had the pleasure of attending the Toronto Taco Fest, and I must say, it was a taco lover's dream come true! From the moment I arrived at the festival, I was impressed by its great location. Set in a vibrant part of the city, it was easily accessible and provided a wonderful atmosphere for indulging in delicious tacos. The festival was exceptionally well organized, with a layout that allowed attendees to navigate effortlessly between various food stalls and attractions. The organizers did an excellent job of creating a lively and engaging environment that truly celebrated the spirit of tacos. The fest's great live performances added a fantastic touch, creating a lively ambiance that perfectly complemented the delicious food.Speaking of food, the Toronto Taco Fest certainly did not disappoint in terms of taco options. There were countless vendors serving up a wide variety of mouthwatering tacos, ranging from traditional favorites to innovative creations. Whether you were a fan of meat, seafood, or vegetarian options, there was something to satisfy every palate. The festival truly showcased the incredible diversity and creativity of Toronto's taco scene. One aspect that impressed me was the availability of parking. The organizers had made provisions for ample parking spaces, making it convenient for those who chose to drive to the event. Additionally, the festival was located close to transit options, which made it easily accessible for those relying on public transportation. One area that could be improved upon was the seating and standing areas for eating. While there were some designated spaces, they seemed to be in high demand and often crowded. Having more areas to sit or stand and enjoy the tacos would have enhanced the overall experience.Another aspect that could have been better were the giveaways and samples. Although there were some available, it would have been great to see a wider variety and more frequent opportunities for attendees to try different taco offerings or receive small promotional items.Despite these minor areas for improvement, I would definitely give the Toronto Taco Fest another try. The festival showcased a fantastic selection of tacos, boasted a great location, and provided an organized and enjoyable experience for all attendees. The abundance of washrooms was also a thoughtful touch, ensuring that everyone had access to clean facilities throughout the event. In conclusion, if you're a taco enthusiast looking for a fun and flavorful experience, the Toronto Taco Fest is definitely worth attending. With its great location, well-organized layout, exciting live performances, an abundance of taco options, convenient parking, and proximity to transit, it's an event that celebrates the love of tacos in the heart of Toronto. Just remember to arrive early to secure a good spot to sit or stand, and keep an eye out for any potential giveaways and samples.

Taco Fest Toronto
Ummmm $20 to get in for a family of 5 = $100 and then almost $30 for each to eat = $150, so for a total of $250 for just tacos and vibe" ...... no thanks. Drop the "tickets" and may be you see more people there. Its not a zoo or a provincial park that people need to pay to get in. Gouging at its best."

Purchased 5 tickets to get in. Got to the event from our drive and train ride over an hour away from Toronto only to be refused entrance because my 60 year old father didn’t have his physical ID with him. Give me a break.. the security was so ridiculous. Then we went to customer service where they promised us a refund if we spoke to customer service online, which I just heard back and they said “sorry no refunds” it seems they’re running a scam and customer service at the event just didn’t want to deal with upset customers and told you lies just to get you to leave them alone.

Worst experience. I would give this a zero if possible. Parking was $27 at the exhibition grounds where most lots were empty and blocked off. The tickets were approx. $25 with fees per person.Security asked for ID's. My daughters presented their ID's. I and my ex did not bring ours to the gate. My ex is 70 years old. The security refused to let the two of us in. Once I asked to escalate the issue and argued with their logic, they finally relented. In what universe does this happen? A complete lack of common sense.Once at the event, you have to buy tickets for the food and drink. Four to eight tickets for a single two bite taco equalling $4 to $8. Five tickets equalling $10 minimum for a drink with alcohol. The music was a bizarre mix of oldies including the theme song from Friends. There was nothing else to see or do. This is comparable to paying for tickets to enter a restaurant, paying an excessive fee for parking, and then having the luxury of being able to buy food and drinks at excessive prices. There is limited seating, so you'll likely stand while you eat. And if you are fortune enough to find a table, no one will be cleaning it. It will have all the food and sauces from the day on it.Mexican food is a favourite of mine, but the vendors we went too weren't making any effort. I'd rate the food a 3. It was edible, but why would you bother if it's not great? My daughter became ill about two hours in. She left and went to the hotel to use the bathroom. We bought too many tickets. The food was unappealing by this point, and we were so disappointed. At this point, it was no longer about the tickets.I bought a soda on our way out, so my daughter could take some gravel once we were back in the car. Thank goodness, I had it in my purse. Security refused to let us leave with the soda. I explained the situation, but they weren't having it. Just weird.I will never go to a food festival again without checking out all the costs from tickets, parking to the cost of the food. This was a father's day excursion, and it turned out to be a complete fail. We could have gone out to a great Mexican Restaurant and spent less. The total cost for this event was just short of $500.It was a money grab by the company running this. We will never attend one of their events again. I'm not one to write reviews, but this event is deserving of one. Please pass this along, so others don't make the same mistake in the future. Please make note of the company responsible for this. There was so much potential to make this fun.I'm truly in awe of anyone leaving a positive review. It boggles my mind. How low must your expectations be?

Great experience, definitely worth going! You have many unique tacos to choose from, cocktails, beers, entertainment and dessert. It was my first time going and I would definitely like to go again next year!

Wait times were frustrating along with standing in line for 10 minutes to find out the thing you wanted was sold out. The location (at Hotel X) did not allow for free flow of traffic as there are two small gates that separate the event in half. Would do better at a different location and a better ordering system.
